Rabya was founded in 1973 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It started as a pioneer landscape contractor and has been a leader in the field. As a result of diversification which started in the late 1980's, today it is also strongly engaged in civil works construction (e.g. buildings, steel structures, roadworks and infrastructures); trading in landscape, hardscape and horticultural products; garden centres; nurseries; light industries (e.g. production of concrete walls and fences, pavers and tiles, composts, mushrooms, and color pigment); and, operation and maintenance. It has branches in all major cities in Saudi Arabia as well as in Kuwait, Egypt, and Lebanon.

Rabya is a member of the Alfadl Group of Companies, which consists of over 20 companies engaged in a wide range of activities.
